RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

Te Puāwai Tapu is currently undertaking one major research project, although others are planned.

The current research project is ‘Tō Tātou Hōkakatanga’.  Funded by the Health Research Council of New Zealand, the research involves extensive literature reviews, analyses of policy, and interviews with Māori working in sexual and reproductive health, and is scheduled for completion during 2006/07.

The aim of the research is to develop a kaupapa Māori analysis of sexual and reproductive health and identify the components of a kaupapa Māori framework for sexual and reproductive health.
